Pepsi Goes Hollywood With Mann Theatres

World-Famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre Included in Multiyear Pouring Rights Pact

ENCINO, Calif., October 24, 2001 - Mann Theatres today announced a multiyear agreement with Pepsi-Cola Company, making Pepsi its exclusive supplier of carbonated and non-carbonated refreshment beverages.

Effective November 1, 2001, the pact includes all 30 Mann Theatre sites, located primarily in Southern California and Colorado, as well as the prestigious Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, which has hosted several movie premieres and star-studded celebrity events.

"Pepsi brings us the choice, service and innovation that we need to satisfy our customers," said Ben Barbosa, CEO of Mann Theatres. "They are approaching this relationship with an unsurpassed quality platform and strategic insights for us to combine forces and generate even greater customer value. We're always looking to give our customers the ultimate theatre experience, and Pepsi is with us every step of the way."

Mann Theatres and Pepsi will work together to develop marketing programs and create opportunities to leverage other Pepsi properties into joint promotions with Mann.

"This is an exciting time to be partnering with Mann Theatres," said Bill Glenn, president of Pepsi-Cola North America's Foodservice Division. "They operate some of the very best theatres in the West and are one of the main entertainment venues contributing to the revitalization of downtown Hollywood. We are especially proud to be involved with Mann as they prepare to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in 2002."

Grauman's Chinese Theatre, a historical landmark, is the most famous movie theatre in the world. With its exquisite restoration and the adjoining addition of a brand new state-of-the-art six-plex, Mann is playing an integral role in restoring the grandeur of Hollywood.

Mann Theatres owns and operates 30 theatres with 177 screens in California and Colorado. In addition to Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Mann also operates the Village, National and Bruin Theatres in Westwood Village. These four theatres, rich in history and highlighted by their spectacular architecture, are among the most prestigious in the industry, hosting frequent star-studded world premieres and other lavish events.

While they are integral to the Mann Theatres legacy, the company also operates many modern multi-screen complexes. Like the movie palaces of Hollywood and Westwood, they are designed to offer the finest entertainment experience in an environment unrivaled for cleanliness, comfort and convenience presented with cutting-edge technology.
